I had soooo much fun this past weekend working on a test shoot to produce more images to promote myself as a makeup artist. I was blessed to work with two Indian bridal models for this shoot to create two completely different looks. I really enjoyed the process because they both had such wonderfully large eyes, I had a lot of room to play! The model pictured below, Shruti, was so very nice and sweet. She stayed still like a statue and allowed me to think through the process of doing her makeup without interruption.
The model pictured below, Komal, is a makeup artist and a painter herself. So she was very particular about the colors that we used to create her look. It took me several different tries, but eventually, I was able to mix a couple of different green shades in my makeup kit to mimic the shade of green in her beautiful bridal attire.
I had to get a pic of Shruti before the shoot started. Isn't she stunning. She was so tiny. I think I could fit her bridal gown on one of my thighs lol.
From this point on, I just stood around watching the magic happen and making sure the model's makeup didn't need to be touched up. Since there were multiple photographers, I made sure to keep a bit of distance so that I wouldn't cramp anyone's style.
It's not easy being a model. You have to be comfortable with tons of people looking at you and analyzing everything about you. You have to be able to pull off a look of confidence, or whatever emotion needs to be conveyed, in order to make it happen at the shoot. I have to say that both of these ladies really nailed it!
