Behind the Scenes: Pics from my Indian Themed Commercial Photoshoot

I was soooo very excited when I was picked to do makeup for an Indian themed Lookbook shoot for a clothing designer! This is my first shoot like this one. The designer was modeling five different types of outfits so they wanted one look to go with everything. I decided to pick a smokey eye with pink lips and peach cheeks.

The model, who was named Maggie, was gorgeous! She wasn't even Indian. She was ethnically ambiguous, so she could pass for many different races. That is definitely a great asset when you are a model. The clothes were for Sadhna Fashions, an up and coming designer who is definitely going places.

The photographer was Heather Talbert, she is a fashion designer who I was so happy to connect with...AND so very glad to have her style of photography be added to my port!

The entire shoot was organized by The Frock Shop Chicago, a gown rental boutique that is located in the trendy Lacuna Artists Lofts in the south loop! Let's just say my Saturday morning was really, really fun!

There wasn't much space in the boutique, so I had to get ready in the bathroom. Thankfully, my kit is well organized so I don't need a table to work. And I have a handy director's chair so my clients/models will always be comfortable.

This was the very first look that we did. I knew that it was going to be a great shoot as soon as she slipped the dress on!This red dress was our last look. And it was my absolute favorite. Seriously, I can't wait for the official photos. They are going to be awesome!
